We have beautiful designer wool carpet remnants from Stanton, Kaleen and Karastan in our Maryland showroom.

If you live in the metro DC area and are looking to buy carpet remnants or short rolls near Silver Spring, Laurel, College Park, Rockville or Chevy Chase, here are ten things you should know:

1 – We do not sell second-quality or defective carpet

We sell only first-quality flooring and that won’t change. We’ve been in business for over 40 years. Selling low-quality flooring is not our style and buying it shouldn’t be yours.

2 – We are a large company with tens of millions of dollars per year in volume and the retail Carpet One showroom benefits from our awesome buying power

Our parent company, Contract Carpet Systems, has been in business for over 40 years. We have a huge warehouse and thousands of yards of in-stock carpet. Yes, we are much different than your average flooring store.

3 – We stock designer wool carpet

We have many rolls of woven and tufted designer wools from Stanton, Masland, Kaleen and more. You can buy stylish woven patterned carpet for around $5 per square foot instead of over $15 per ft. The savings are real and they are huge!

4 – You can find carpet here you won’t find in your average store.

Not only do we stock designer wools and ultra-soft nylon remnants, we also have roll ends from large commercial products, along with carpet tile, adhesives, wall base, and much more.

5 – We can fabricate custom-sized area rugs and runners for you from our stock.

Even if you need an off-sized rug, we can do it. There is almost no limit to what we can do.

Email Chris to learn more.

6 – We can install anything we sell.

This one’s pretty easy. Whether you are looking for a beautiful rug for your family room or a custom runner for a staircase in an embassy, we can do it for you.

7 – Some items are exclusive to our store.

In fact, many of the remnants we have are not available to the general public or anyone else.

8 – Our salespeople have been in the business for years and can help you with design ideas.

There is a lot to learn in the business. I’m not saying we know it all (because nobody does) but we certainly have a team in place that can get the answer you need. We can also protect you from a bad decision because not all carpet is suitable for every application. Some of our remnants originally cost over $150/yard. But that quality and style are no guarantee for performance against your Jack Russell Terrier’s claws if he likes to dig into anything soft. We will help with that by asking questions to determine the end-use and any potential pitfalls.

9 – You really do save money.

We simply don’t overcharge. We’ve been in business long enough to know that a good deal, offered consistently, means you will come back and send your friends as well. And we want you to come back and bring friends!

10 – Yes, San Francisco, you can buy our remnants.

Just email Chris, our General Manager, and tell him which piece interests you and he will work up a shipping quote for you to anywhere.

10.5 – We can’t hold material for you.

Our remnant stock is exclusive and highly-sought. We can’t hold pieces for anyone. Several times, we’ve had a client wait a week and then come back with their decision only to find that we’d sold that piece. Sorry, but that’s how we have to do it.
